• THE CAPITOL CLUB. At fhe annual meeting of the Capitol Lacrosse Club Mr. R. Renkin presided. The annual report and balance-sheet showed tho club to be in a satisfactory position. The club was represented in the match for. the Proud Shield against Auckland by R. Renkin, M. F. Andrews, and J.D. Renkin. The outlook for tho present season is very bright. Seven new members wero elected. Tho following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. J. P. Luke; president, Mr. A, Montgomery; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. A. Corrigan, R. Clouston, A. E. Jqutke, S.. Moran, \V. G. Duthie, S. Kirkcaldie, A. Fratdi, and tlio Rev. C. F. Askew; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. D. Renkin; captain, Mr. R. R en . kin; yicc-captain, Mr. M. F. Andrews; committee, Messrs. W. Turner, P. Wootten, A. Norris, M. Robinson; delegates to'the association, :Messrs. A. Nbrris and J. W-. Renkin.
