A BURGLAR'S HAUL
£1000 WORTH OF RINGS STOLEN. (By"Telegraph— Prcse Association. , ) Christchurch, April 9. Last night, or carlv this morning, Mr. F. W. Tucker, jowellor, High Street, had his shop entered and rings to tlio value of £.1000 abstracted. Mr. Tucker, loft tho premises securely locked up at G p.m. last night. When lie arrived at 8.30 tin's morning lie fouxd that every ring in tho window had gone, their total value being £1000, whilst every other article- of jewellery bad boon left untouched. Even the safo containing a considerable amount of cash had not been tampered with. It was by means of tho skylight that the thief is presumed to have entered tho shop. The skylight has remained open ever since Mr. Tucker took possession of the shop, but the aperture is small and it would Tcquire a very small person to wriggle through.
