■■ In commenting en the disturbance at tko Hen. F. M. B. Fisher's recent meetiiif at the Town -Hall, the Dimetlm "STtar" save:—"ln tiroes of political cscitement it is difficult to draw the lme exactly, and define where a breach of taste mid manners ends and a breach ot the law begins. It would be absurd and foolish of a community ta say wtth a shrug of the shoulders that it is a, j>.ty that such scenes should take place, out apparently they must be endured, it svouM be" a- tame surrender of tlwir ritjlits and creating a very bad precedent. Fortunately, Mr. Fisher is r.ot daunted. His experiences on the platform'have been many and varied (em* bracing Duiiedin araoug other places); and he has proved himself pertinacious ami courageous. Ho is going to spak a#oin in Wellington—at least, he hto hold anotliof public meotiiia;. ShotrM the same organised ebstruction bo attempted it would be high time fov ilia police to add prosecution to the stops already taken by thenii ■which have so far' proved inadequate for the preservation of order."
