ACCLIMATISATION MATTERS.

At the twelfth annual meoting of the Hobson Acclimatisation Society, a resolution was passed urging on tho Hon. tho Minister of Internal Affairs tho necessity of giving effect to -a remit carried at tho last annual conference ro amending the Act to provide for each society dealing with tho question of open and closed seasons in its own district. In regard to a letter from tho Department of Internal Affairs ro tho formation of cue strong acclimatisation society for North Auckland, n resolution was passed opposing any alteration of tho boundaries of tho Hobson District, and expressing approval of tho manner in which the affairs of tho district had been conducted by past councils.
