NEW APOSTOLIC DELEGATION FOR AUSTRALASIA. By. Telegraph—Press Association—Copyriitht Rome, April 6. The Pope has created a new Apostolic Delegation for Australia, Oceania, and New Zealand. : Monsignor Bonavcntura Corrotti, of the 'Washington Delegation, has been appointed delegate. Roman Catholic Apostolic Delegates, strictly speaking, are ecclesiastical in character, and are usually sent by the Congregation of Propaganda to missionary countries. The Pontifical Secretariate of State, however, is accustomed to send Apostolic Delegates, purely ecclesiastical in character, to countries which have not diplomatic relations with the Holy See. , '
