A brigand named Musolino, who was sentenced in 1904 to fdrty years' imprisonment for twelve murders in the mountains of Calabria, is now a harmless lunatic, as the result of ten rears' solitary confinement in a dark cell 6ft. square. He lias been allowed to exercise in the yard for an hour monthly, and his parents have visited him yearly. ;
