Rockefeller (head of the Standard Oil Corporation) admitted that ,the conditions of the Southern Colorado striko district were serious, according to the reports which reacted him. As interested in some of tho coal companies affected by tho striko, Mr. Rockefeller said that ho and his associates would rather tho present violence continued, and lose all the millions they had invested in the mines, than that the American workmen should he deprived of their right under tho Constitution to work for whom they pleased.
