HUNDRED MILE BEACH RACE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,} Chl'istcliurch, April 4. Very considerable interest was taken in tho running of tho 100-mile be.-tch race on tho New Brighton courso this afternoon, and there was a large gathering of the public to .witness the sport. Nineteen speed hien entered for the race, and all types ami powers of racing machines were on the track. The placed men were as follow: —E. F. Hinds (scr.), 1, and .fastest- time (Ihr. 46niin. 32sec.); T. Berry, (hep. 4min.), 2 (lhr. Slmin, 6src.); 0. C. Moffatt (hep. 33min.), 3 (2hr. SSroin. 4sec.).
