In the London diocese, it seems, woman aro not eligible for membership on any of the represents tive Church bodies, aad a resolution calling for tho removal of tho sos bar has been passed by the Hammersimtli Kuridecanul Cpaiference. oil tho motion of Mr. Holford Knight. This resolution has_ been communicated to tsach of the ruride canal conferences in London, and wil lcome before them at their first meetings during nest month. But as theso bodies have just been re-elected for a period of tlireo years it is elcar that unless tho women at® to be 'further -excluded for several years tho Bishop of London must take action in the matter. The Bishop of Kensington has expressed himself as being warmly in sympathy with the Hammersmith resolution, and it is felt that {jiiurchwom-eii themselves in the, London dioceso should take some collcctive action to. make their, desires appreciated in episcopal quarters.
