COLLEGE GOVERNORS

The monthly meeting of the Wellington College Board of Governors • was held yesterday. There were present: Messrs. A. de ,B. Brandon (chairman), Rlieo, W. H. P. Barber, \V. F. Ward, and W. >1. Field. Requests from the principal of the Girls' College for a covered way to the gymnasium and for a new piano were held over until next mooting, the reason licing that there was an overdraft at the bank of £247. The resignation of Miss E. M. Johnston was accepted. .Miss Allan was appointed to the vacancy. Miss M'Diarmid was appointed temporarily in place of Miss Rowley, who has gone to England, and Miss Suclie was appointed instructress in drill and games.
