(By Telegraph.—Special CorreflDond«iit) Masterton, March. 23. The half-yearly session of the Supreme Court opened ■ here to-day before His Honour Mr. Justice Edwards, who congratulated the grand jury , upon tho fact that there were only two criminal cases, and these were of a simple character. Truo bills were returned against G'. A. Rafter, railway g_uard,^who was charger! with an act of indecency, and against 'Arthur William Pethcrick, livery stablekeeper, who was charged yith perjury. In the case of Rafter the jury returned a verdict of not guilty. The charge against Pethorick was proceeding when the Court adjourned.
