Ho described tho boat excursion through the gorge as a scenic view much auperior t" anything to' bo seen on the Wanganui River, and the whole of tho bush surroundings as vory fine.. ■■. .An old settler, Mr. Thomas G. Lett, died yesterday morning at Masterton. Deceased was 91 years of age.
