Corry's grain store, a ■ building■bmlt for'the Farrhers' Cd-op- ' eratiyo Association at .a 'cost of £2000. Details are meagre, but it is. understood • that 30,000 -.bags of .barley wore destroyed. The origin of the firo is unknown, ; and tlib -.insurances .aro not yet avail--1 able. Mr. Corry at the time.of the fire was.at.ficonfereiice of barley-grow-ers and merchants, Altogether 3000 tons of stiifl was destroyed. •''"■. m ,*' .".'.. ■'■■ v Later, .ihe insurances are: £16,000 on the ■ stock, £1750 on tho building, "and £250 on the machinery..- A paddock of flax fibre half a milo, away' was set on fire by sparks,; and two tons of fibre destroyed.." ■•> ...''■ ■.■. ■-.':.'
