DUNEDIN SENSATION.
e- —; HUSBAND FIRES AT HIS WIFE. (By Telegraph.—Frees Awoclatlon.l Dunedln, March 22. George Havelock Green, wbo was arrested at Auckland-about-three weeks ago on a charge of disobeying an order for the maintenance of his wife and children, and brought to Dunedin, went down to Sawyer's Bay this afternoon, where his wife is engaged as housekeeper to a Mr. Perry Currier. He called at the house about 3.30,' and apparently'fired two or three 6hots at his wife, all of which took effect about the neck of shoulders. Green then walked to Port Chalmers where was was arrested by Constable O'Shea about 4 p.m.
Mrs. Green was attended by Dr. Borrie, of Port Chalmers, but, from what little can be gathered at present, it docs\ not appear that the wounds are critical.
