ANOTHER STATE' PURCHASE.
(By Tfileffraph.—Prosa Association.) Dannevirke, March 10. Government officials have acquired 1000 acres of the Tiratu Block on the outskirts of Daunevirke; at £10 per acre. The block comprises 7000 acres. It is likely that a considerable portion, of tho balance will bo purchased by tho Crown, for settlement purposes. The cheque's paid ranged from £50 to £3000. Tho land is admirably suited for dairying- .
