PETONE CLUB'S MEETING,
The twenty-fourth annual meeting of : tho Petone Rugby Football Club was held last evening at tho Central, Hall, Mr. A. ASSOCIATION.
MENTAL' HOSPITAL CLUB. The Koventh annual mooting of the Porivua Mental Hospital Club was held on"/Friday,"Mr. fi. C. Holdor. presiding. . . ■ ■ The report congratulated members on a most successful season. In .tho First Division championship the team, played ton matches, won eight* lost one, drew cue, scoring 35 goals and having ten goals against. The team won the senior Charity Cup for the.second season in succession.: The final match with Y.M.C.A. proved a very hard struggle, Hospital winning by one goal to nil. Two matches were played against a team from H.M.S. New Zealand, both of Which were won by Hospital. The report mentioned that, sinco the formation of the club, 114 matches had been played, of which 82 had been won, 20 lost, and 12 drawn. Of tho 20 defeats, 12 matches had been lost during the first two seasons. During the lost five seasons tho club had played 84 matches, won 71, lost 8, and drawn 5. During the season tho team was represented in representative , matches' '. by Messrs. Tlie twentieth annual report of the Swifts Football Club states that in the Charity .Cut) the senior oloveh' were successful in "Hefoatirijt the' championship team, and after a good,game in. the semi-final with Hospital eventually, lost by two'goals to nil.. The club's usual Easter,.'trip : had tb v bo .abandoned,' but this- season it is proposed to make.arrangements for. a trip to Blenheim. The cup presented by the club to the Marlborough Boys' .League was keenly competed for, and was won by the Grovetown Swifts Club. The committee desired to thank Mr. B. L. Salmon and Mr. R. O, Hutchison for looking after the boys' teams, and tho hope Was expressed that volunteers would come forward this season to assist in the coaching of tho boys' teams, especially iri the lower grades. Tlie committee also sincerely regretted the rdsignation of tho late treasurer, Mr. George Wilson, jwi., owing to a change of residence.
IN CAMERA. MEETING OF CORINTHIANS. Towards ihe latter end of 1913 the Corinthian Club was suspended by'the WeHirigton Management Committed on account of certain happenings on the Basin Reserve in n, match agains't Diamonds. Lengthy inquiries Were held and finally the New Zealand Football Association ratified the suspensions imposed on certain players and officials. At a meeting held recently the local Management Committee removed these suspensions with one exception. That was m regard to Mr. A.. R. Simpson, late secretary of the olub. During the past '■ season, the New Zealand Football Association suspended the president of the club for life'. As the New Zealand Council hiive not hold _ a .meeting recently all the suspensions are. still in,force as far as the , governing body in New' Zealand is concerned. The question thorefore arises whother the meeting held by ihe club last ovening is in order, arid whether the club's delegates can take part at the annual meeting of the Wellington Football Association which is to be held this evening. Last evening's meeting was hold in camera, but' a report of it was afterwards, supplied. Mr, T. Crouch presided.'
