CARNIVAL FUND.

. The Citizens'. Carnival Fund lias been substantially increased by a cheque f C r £20, which has been, received by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) from Mr.' Herbert Seafon.- The donation is the out* come of .a promise made by Mr.'Seatau to give 10 .per cent, of the receipts of a- special carnival sale to the fund. The gross-, takings of the sale were £189 os, 3d., 10 per cent, of which amounted to £18'18s. 6d. Mr,. Seaton, ■ however, made this amount £20.
