Suffragettes expecting tho Judges of Assize to attend Birmingham Cathedral to-day secreted themselves after the evening service on Saturday and during the night timo painted over tho side of tho galleries, pillars, floors, and new fronts, "Votes for Women," "Stop Forcible Feeding." Tho organ front wan.slashed and tho pulpit disfigured. "Votes for Women" was painted across the centre of a magnificent Burnc-Joncs window, and on the vestry floor was inscribed "Tho Clergy must rise on our behalf." "CHURCH OF THE NEW IDEAL." London, March 15. Suffragettes at Liverpool formed a Church of flic New Ideal, to be conducted solely by women, including preachers. Men are admitted to the evening services. . Sylvia Pankhurst has been released from gaol. .
