UNFORTUNATE BUNGLE MADE. (By Telezrajih.-Press' AsFociation.) Wanganul, March 12. A most unfortunato error occurred (n 'connection with tho announcement of Queen of the Carnival election, owing: to £50 worth, of votes for Mrs. M'Gregor being>.,'-uncounted. . Miss M'Donald had boon declared elected by a majority of over 5,000, bub a recount was demanded, and to-night it was announced that Mrs. M'Gregor, who had been placed second, -y/aa in reality queen. She had a majority of 469 votes over Miss M'DonalcL Tho election created tho utmost interest, and tho unfortunato bungle is generally regretted. Tho total votc3 recorded amounted to 138,044, representing £1150 in twopenny votes.'
