It alludes to recent scandals in tho Ontario and Quebec Legislatures, the Grand Trunk and Pacific Railway rerplntiqns, and the latest scandal, the diversion of tho funds of tho Trent Canal for political purposes. Tho "Globe" declares that tho whole tone of public life in Canada is at a low point, and it is necessary for some stand to be taken unless Canadian politics are to decline to tho level of those of tho United States.
