Tho inspector reports on the growing demand for places in high schools. Tho city /.schools are overcrowded, necessitating ■ a large expenditure on buildings in the near future, and there are also jsigns of. the i supply, of qualified teachers being unequal to the demand. The Hon. A. C. Carmichael (Minister of Education), commenting on tlie report, thiriks that the growing interest in high schools is ono of tho healthiest signs that a vigorous, progressive education is fruitful., ' ■ '.',.''
