QUESTION OF MEAT FACILITIES. v (By TelesraDli.—Press Aesooiatlon.l *; Cisborne, March 10. At a. meeting held in Gisborno early in. Fobruary, .at ntich Mr. H. Estill, repr'esohting tho Port of London Authority, debated with Mr. A. D,. Lysnar, of Gisbonre, on tho subject of tho facilities at London and West'of England ports for handling New Zealand produce, Mr. Estill stated that New Zealand meat Was being discharged at the Eoyal Victoria Docks by elevators and endless conveyers, ■ carrying the meat under cover direct to tho carts and railway vans. ■Mr. Lysnar challenged this statement, and eajd tho conveyers merely carried tho meat to a sorting base, in the vioinity of tho shin. . Mr. Estill challenged Mr. Lysnar to send a-cablegram to the High Commissibhor for information on--the' subject, and this Mr. Lysnar straightway did. He has now received a cablegram from;tho High Commissioner, through-tho Prime. Minister, as follows:—"Please inform Mr. Ljsnaf that there lias been no alteration'in' Now Zealand , meat; Victoria Docks, since his visit, but the Port of London Authority have commenced work on sorting sheds by which frozen meat will be' dealt with under, cover;" ..■.:• - li.:
