Ho was run over by a lorry on tho showground in tho afternoon, afid sustained thm* broken ribs, Tho doctor who attended him on tho ground convoyed him to his surgery for further treatment, and during his temporary absence tho patient disappeared. After midnight tho same doctor was called on to attend to tho same pationt, who had by that timo sustained a broken collarbone, tlsrough being thrown out of a gig. . 9 11 Wednesday, evening tho visiting judges in connecting with tho Bangitikei A.- and P. Association's Stow wore entertained at a sraoko concert. The judges were greatly impressed with the quality of tho stook exhibited at the show. Mr. Lonsdale, of tile Marnnahaki Experiment Farts, who . also acted as judge at the Winter Show, said that farmers in the Taihape district had nothing to fear, as the root crops he had inspected on. that occasion would compare very favourably with those in any part of New Zealand. Mr. Lonsdale was also.greatly pleased with tho show of horses, whidi he stated could not bo bettered at- any show in the Dominion.
The weather on Thursday was very Cold and a frost was experienced at night, On Wednesday (show day) 900 people arrived at Taihape hy the train from Marton, and 500 by the train from Ohakune. '

Tho Greytown Amateur Swimming Club held its first annual carnival oli Thursday afternoon. A largo mintber of spectators was present, and £11 10s. was taken. Messrs. Mark Maxtoit and H.
