C. SMITH'S STAFF PICNIC.
The annual picnic of the 6taff of O. Smith, Ltd., was held at Bona Bay on Wednesday last, tho shop being closed all day. Tho party had a full days' pleasure in tho open air. Tho unsottled weather cleared up early, and when'tho party'arrived at tho bay a beautiful.sunny day had set.in, and a most enjoyable outing resulted. A good programme of games and sports was arranged by Messrs. C. l'faff and W. Diar.' The four notable events wero races for trophies presented by Messrs. Roid, Sherwood, Potts, • and Cix. Mr. Boid's trophy was won by Miss Boyling, Miss Gini being second; Sir. Ishenvood's by Mr. R. Grocic, Mr. F. Taylor being second ; Mr. l'otts's by Mr. J. Noils, Mr. Cox being second; Mr. Cox's by Miss Pillinc, Miss Andrews second.
