THE NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. WAIKATO'S DEFEAT. THEIR ASSOCIATION QUASHED. The quarterly meeting; of tho Council of the Nov.- Zealand Tennis Association was Ii ? J ( J last evening, Mr. H. M. Moving that an increase be granted from £6*o per annum to £75, Mr. Gore said that Mr. Pelliorick had proved a capable, ceiificientioiiK and courteous officer. Mr. Barry Keosing (Auckland) seconded the motion.

Mr. Henderson (Caaterbury) said that he personally considered that tho secretary was entitled to an increase, but that his, association had instructed him to oppose it. Mr. White-Parsons {Wellington) considered that an increase of £10 would be Kufnc»<mt.
