TJie German National Flying Fund in 1913 received £361,725, and expended £107,975 in prizes, £87,613 in training pilots, . £38,905 in insuring pilots, £24,000 in tho-erection of flying centres and soaplanb stations. There were 36,817 (lights, which resulted in twelve- fatalities.' One hundred and fifteen machines were damaged.
