THE WOMAN IN THE CASE.

At the Police .Court, .John Starch field was charged with the- murder of his seven-year-old son who was found strangled under tire seat of a railway carriage at Shorcditch last month. Inspector Gqugh, in his evidence, said that btarehfielel was released tho day after the murder in consequence of police inquiries as to his movements on tho day of the murder. The inspector added that several persons who identified the boy at the mortuary, stated that they saw the boy with a woman, _Counsel for the defence indicated that Ins side Was able to show that the murder Was committed by a woman.
