It is expected the deported men.will land at Tilbury Docks. ARRIVAL'AT GRAVESEND. (Reo. February 25, 0.30 a.m.) London, February 24. Umgeni arrived at Gravesend this morning. A Labour deputation welcomed the deported men. Strictest secrecy was preserved to the last. The owners placed their directions in the hands of the Shipowners' Mutual Protection Association,, which issued sealed orders in the Channel. The Labour representatives insisted on similar reticence. ' DEMAND TO BE TAKEN BACK. (Rec. February 25, 0.55 a.m.) London, February 24. The newspapers chartered special tugs and made desperate efforts to . interview the deported men in the Channel, but failed. lho' deputation of Labour leaders spent the night at the Tilbury Hotel. I'he deported men refuse to leave tile Umgeni and demand to be taken back to South Africa. They will forcibly resist removal from the ship.
