DKATH Ol- MRS. G. V. SHANNON. The death of Mrs. Eftiily Jane Shannon will b« received with widespread regret for she was well known, partimt* larly ift tha southern portion of this, island. The late Mrs. Shannon leaves a husband and grovm-up family of six daughters and .tiro sons: Mrs. S, Williamson: (Waituna;, Mrs. (Dr.) {Jniitlt (Hnuterville), Mrs. .Robert M'Bet-li (Kimbolt-an), Mrs. Harold Reinayne (Halrotnlie), Mrs.- H. T. Riohar-'lsoti (Wo'lin-i'ion';, and Miss Shannon (wiio rcai-dps witli her parents). The -sons arc Mr. Wm. Siiarmoii (M:v kimj), and Mr, Trevor Shannon (Wai'tuua'j.
