An agreement Swas -come to by which ihe Napier Harbour Board will .receive £20,000 from the Government towards the construction of the embankment across the inner harbour. : The Hawke's Bay County Council pay £25,000 towards the election of the bridge—which ■!s to be constructed of ferro-coricrote — , across the inner harbour. In addition, thev received a Government grant of £5000, which will bo deducted from tho £25.000 which they havo to pay.
