LIVING WAGE LIMIT.
_ —-—— BOTH SIDES SATISFIED. By Telcsraph—Press- Association—Copyright Sydney, February 18. Both sides express satisfaction at Judge Heydoii, of the Industrial Court, fixing a living wage, though Mr. C'onroy, a member of the Legislative Assembly, points out that tlio Commonwealth connot afford to pay every adult a fixed limit unless production largely increases, and that the payment would have to bo at the expense of Other sections of the community. It is manifest, therefore, that payment tinder Judgo Heydon's standard in some directions can only be.met at present by lessening wages in others.
