The estate of tho late Colonel Goodlet. the merchant and philanthropist, who started tho first Home for Consumptives in New Sonth Wales in 1877, lias been sworn at £92,910. Besides a bequest of shares to employees and others, he leaves 10,000 shares in tho firm of Goodlet and Smith to the ITomo for Consumptives, 4000 to establish scholarships at Presbyterian colleges, and distributes another 7000 shares to the Y.M.C.A. and charitable institutions.
