' Sydney, February 17. ' The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly (Mr. R. Mcagker), in his capacity of city alderman, was ordered to bo removed from a sitting of the Electric Lif»ht Committee of the City Council owing to his persistent refusal to obey the chairman (Alderman Milner). The latter ordered the Lord Maj'or's orderly to escort Mr. Mcnghor out/ but Mr. Mcagher declined the escort. Alderman Milner told the orderly to call for assistance, but before it arrived Mr. Mengher had left the building.
