In connection with tho Austrian Geographical Society's expedition and the British expedition to the Antarctic regions, the suggestion has been mooted that Mr. I'elita Kocnig and Sir Ernest Shackleton should co-operate. Tho former claims priority of, plan. '.. Sir E. Shackleton, interviewed, , said that it was difficult to believe'that Mr. Koehig claimed priority. His plans were kndwn beforo Mr. Koenig's plans were communicated by the Austrian Geographical Society in May last. There was, however, plenty of room for many expeditions. Ho failed to eee how lie could co-operate with Mr. Koenig, except by collaboration on the Toturn from their respective expeditions.
