FOR RURAL COLONIES.
PLENTY OF LAND AVAILABLE IN ENGLAND. By Telarraph—Press Assoeiation—Copyright . London, February 15. A book by Mr. Jesso Collings, M.P.. on "The Colonisation of Rural Britain," has been published. It asserts that, next to the influence of Socialism, immigration is the chief factor in changing the face of rural England, and protests against emigration agents' commercialism in connection with the luring away of the soundest and fittest, leaving the unfit. There is plenty of land available in England to crcato rural colonies on an occupying ownership basis. Ah additional remedy lies in improving the labourers by means of practical education.
