Brigadier-General Bridges, at present commanding the Royal Military , College at Duutroon, succeeds Major-Gen-eral Kirkpatrick as Inspector-General' of the Commonwealth Forces in May nest. General Bridges, C.M.G., who has been commandant at Duntroon sinco 1910, was born at Greenock, Scotland, in 1861. Ijri obtained his first commission in the New South Wales Artillery in 1885. For a timo ho was Australian representative on tho Imperial General Staff. , __ (
