Averill as Anglican Bishop of Auckland took place in St. Mary's Cathedral this evening. Practically all the clergy of tho diocese torero present, and the ceremony was • performed by tho Ven. Arelideacoii Oalslcr, tho Commissary. A very largo . congregation was present. Tho Bishop preached a powerful sermon, and, at tko olpso of the service, a solemn Te D'esrm -was «img. The Bishop will celebrate Holy Communion in tho Cathedral at 9 a.m. to-morrow, and will be publicly wcltcorned at tho.Town Hall on., Thursday j eight. • ■ ' "
