Shackletqn's new expedition, ho said ho would bring back material of lasting scientific importance. Professor David also eulogised Dr. Mawson's meteorological work. His reference to tho Commonwealth retaining tho wireless station at the Macquarics Was received with cheers. ■ Sir Ernest. Shackleton said he was taking four geologists and four other 'scientists. .
