Competition was Rood throughout, and a., satisfactory clearance was ctfcctcd at prices in veudor'i favour. A fairly good number of cattle were yarded. Fat cattle throughout maintained laio weights, but young cattle were not inquired for. Sheep: Cull ewes. ss. 7(1. to 7*. 6d.; full-mouth ewes, to 125.; and 5year breeding ewc», K.?. 6(1;. cull lambfi. to ss. 7d.; forward, woolly lamb*, to lis. 7d.: fat wethers, 17.5. New- Zealand .Loan and Mercantile ; Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Himitanpri on Monday wo had a small entry of sheen and cattle. A particularly cood line of 4year ewes offered on account of M. J. If. Robinson met with keen competition, and sold at 15s. 4d. Other stock sold at lato rates, with the exception of weaner?, for which there was little demand. Sheep: 4-year ewes, 15s. 4d.; aced Romney rams, Bs. Cattle: Fair mixed weaners, 255.; 18-months heifera, £5 135.; good weaner steera, 315,; • store cows, £2 lCe. to £3 10s.; forward cows, £4 12s. 6d. to £4 165.; fat cows, £5, £5 63. to £6 10s. Pigs: Slips, 155.; good steers, 27e. Messrs. Williams and Kettle. Ltd., Damievivke, report having held their usual fortat Woodville on Monday, when they offered a- good yarding of both sheen and cattle to a large attendance of buyers. Sheep sold well, and wo report a total clearance. Cattle were rather neglected.
