At the annual picnic of the etaff of Messrs. John Duthie and Co., Ltd,, held at tlio residence of the Hon. John Dutbie, M.L.C., a lengthy sports programme was contested., the results being as follow:—100yds. handicap M K.' Loekett, 1; L. Din, 2. ClsiWren a race (girls only): Jean Copelaud. Threelegged race:'R..Robinson and K. Loekett. 44Oyds. handicap: G, Logg, 1: K, Loekett, 2. Boys' l race {under 15): W. Anton. Hurdle race: B. Legg, 1; K, Lockott, 2. Married men's 'race* M Chapman, 1; J. B. Butler, 2.- 220 yds. handicap: B. Legg, 1: K, toelictt, 2. Married ladies' race: Mrs. Mines, 1; Mrs. Murphy, 2. Wheelbarrow race: R. Raukiu aud At. Andrews. ladies' race: Miss M'Donald, 1; Miss, Rigg, 2. Nail-driving competition: Mrs. Wigg (six hits). Guessing competition: Miss Thompson.
