In tlio Ayrshire classes' thor® are nearly 50 entries, those represented including: Messrs. J. Bowden, J. D. Galloway, and A. H. Hanson (local), Messrs. D. Buchanan and J. U. G. Slack (Palmerston North), T. H. Colpman (Waikanae), and C. E. C. Webb (Koputaroa). Jerseys comprise 37 entries, and some.choico lots will bo seen in competition. Local owners with exhibits arc: Messrs. A. E. Ransom, H. Benton, T. M. Webls, Heiisou, H. H. Phillips, and H. It. Ben-bow, whilo outtido patrons comprise H. Stratford (Palmerston North), C. G. C. Dermei . (Feildtne), Milton' Alpass # (Paliiatua), and A. Banks and Sous (Foilding). 1101. steins will also be a popular division, there being 37, entries, including animals owned-by Messrs. L/C. Rathbone. Hart, Gilmour, Maurice O'Connor (local), the New Zealand Government Experiment Farm at Wer'eroa, and Messrs. E. ; James (FeildiugV W. Remnant, and Wi I. Lovelock (Palmerston ' North). There should bo splendid competition in the dairy classes, entries being'uniformly numerous, wlrilo tho pony, hack, ahd harness classes have filled /veil, there being 20 entries in the' lady's hack'event alone. Though sheep are not quite as numerous as in former years—the falling-off is in tho. fat sheep' .and lamb classes, owing |to the dry weather and .also the excessive demand fof these '.'lines—tli&'j Romrfey," , Lincnln. and SnuthdowiV: divisions in-, cliide the best-known ~ Wairarapa and other outside breeders.
