SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Tho concerts given on Fridays by .the Sailors' Friend Society aro apparently much enjoyed by seamen, and that provided by Mr?, and Mrs. W. M. Pago was no exception for the keen appreciation shown last night-was very■marked. The following contributed to the evening's pleasure:—Mrs. Haythorpe, Messrs. Tombs, Page, Black, iHeppenstall (s.s. Delphic), Craig (s.s. Star of Ireland). A competition for tho best definition of "The Dog Watch" was productive of much that was amusing and edifying, the'prize going to tho Star of Ireland. Mr. Moore, missioner, : was in tho chair.' The hostess dispensed refreshments at the close.
