For the Supremo Court sittings, wliicll open on Tuesday, under Mr. justice Edwards, there are twenty-seven cases.. There are four criminal cases, including tlirco of allege.it forgery. There aire also one divorce case and nine bankruptcies (all'formal oases), the rests of. tho list being civil eases. Considerable controversy has arisen over tho Borough Council's action in purchasing a new cemetery site at Upper • Arixfiialto. The 'Gohyill© Town Board, which refused to bo associated in- the- purchase, is taking steps to acquire a cemetery of. its own, in which action it is likely to be joined by the Castlecliff Town Board, and possibly by the 'Waitotara County Council, The ,cpst involved by .tho distance from town, and th© allegedly weij. nature of the ground, ai'o the main reasons for tlie dissatisfaction witli Hie- Bgroiigh Council's pi:relta;.t\ ' , _ The Waiigai.nti Agricultural Association lias appointed Messrs.
