CRICKET. MID-WEEK ASSOCIATION. The mid-week players Wan the fifth round of their competition on the Basin Reserve yesterday afternoon.. Tie weather was of tho best, and the wic--kets wero all in favour of tho batsmen. . . * Tho Oriental-Union match was played pit No. 1 wicket: Oriental put together 202, of which Billman' made 53 by clean, hard hitting, scoring 16 in ono over off M'Gill. Cording and Truscott also-played good cricket for their scores. So far Union have- lost Bis wickets for 82 runs, Taylor -being topscorer. M'Girr did Hood work with tho ball, (jetting'five'of"the Oriental wickets. In tho match Rivals v. Artillery, Rivals were all disposed of for the small score of 73.
