In , the .Police Court to-day Albert Brodie Hall, hairdresser, of Sniith Dunedin, Ivas_ charged that, on October 9, ho .used his shop as'a common gaminghouse: on October 9, that he did'assist in conducting a lottery; on October 9, that' he did receive from oho Ernest Walter Perry os. for a ticket in a lottery,- to 'wit, Tattefsall's,' on the Melbourne Cup; on October 9, that he did sell for ss. a ticket by which permission ;was given to Ernest Walter Perry to have an interest "in Tattersall's prizn consultations. The Magistrate (Mr. \Viddowson) intimated that he ' would consider the evidence, and would let it be known if he wanted any argument on lavr. .
