FOUR MEN IN TROUBLE [CHARGES ARISING OUT OF THE STRIKE IN SfiUTH AFRICA. By Telegraph—Press Assocltttion-OopyrJelit Johannesburg, January 2G. The court-martini to'hear tlie charges against Drake, Stcyn, Ferquena, and Oliver, arrested under martini law, lias opened. The first two are accused of causing an explosion, and tho others of being in possession of explosives. The section of martial law under which the Court has been convened prescribes a sentence of death for these offences. MR, CRESSWELL FREE. SENTENCE REMITTED BY THE GOVERNMENT. Cape Town, January 26. Tho Government has remitted the sentence of Mr. Cresswell, tho Labour M.P., who was sent to gaol for a month for attempting, to address tho strikers. The action of the Government in remitting tho sentence ie prompted by tho fact that it does not wish to deprive Labour of ono of its principal mouthpieces in Parliament.
