Tho Government has remitted the sentence of Mr. Cresswell, tho Labour M.P., who was sent to gaol for a month for attempting, to address tho strikers. The action of the Government in remitting tho sentence ie prompted by tho fact that it does not wish to deprive Labour of ono of its principal mouthpieces in Parliament.
