CLEARING SALE AT ALPASS ESTATE.

Messrs. Abraham and AVilliams, Ltd., report having conducted a successful clearing sale of tho Alpass Estate stock on Monday. The attendance was exceptionally large. The stock was of Rood quality throughout, and every credit is duo.to Mr. Wm. Boustead, tho manager, of the property; for the:excellent arrangements made. The sheep were well drafted as to age and sex, and-in each instance any "tail" taken out, and buyers were especially complimentary in their remarks generally,as to the manner in which the stock was placed before them. Business at auction was animated, and the prices can only bo considered as highly sntisfactory. Prices are. as under:—QflO- 2tooth wethers, 16s. lid.; 300 fat 2-tooth wethers with a sprinkling of 4-tootbs, 10s. Id.;. 730 2-tnotli owes, 16s. 10d.; 704 4-tooth owes, 195.; 550 C-tooth ewes, Kis. 9d.; 520 4-year-old ewes, l(is. Gd.; G53 woolly ewe' lambs, Us. 7d.: GGS 'woolly wether lambs, 11s. 4d.; cull and 2-tooth wethers, 14s. 9d.; cull 2-tooth ewes, 12s.
