During tho..ten months January Ito October 31 there haVe been 330 Slior't> horns.exported from Great Britain,to' South America, of which all but 44 have gone to the Argentine, according to. the "Live Stock Annual" for 1914. With the oxception of 1906, when 2852 were taken by that country, the number, this present year compares very favourably with that of any other. The great feature of the export trade has been the. demand from South Africa.' In 1909 only six Shorthorns went to Africa; in 1910, 34; in 1911, 52; in 1912, 129; and in 1912 to October 31, 474. These figures speak for themselves'. The following ere other'totals for this season:—U.S.A., 80; Canada, 39; Gerni.inv, 24; Russia, 20; Australia, 11; British East Africa, 10; Ne'.v Zealand, 7. ■
