Perusal of the;schedule issued by the Dannevirke District;A. and P. Society makes it.appareht that 1 thoughtful- atr.' tention has been given to its compilation, with; successful, re'siilts. -..■■■Glasses - which appeal to all sections'of tho com- , muniy are included, and ( have been endowed ■■■ with liberal ■■ prizo-money. Owners of stallions are catered for-with four classes—thoroughbreds, coaching, or trotting, draught and ponies. There are nine.divisions for saddle horses, in-j eluding a maiden class, four for harness horses, and eleven for draughts; besides miscellaneous. Cattle are provided, for by classes for fats, Shorthorns, Herefords,. Polled Angus, Ayrshires, Jerseys, Holsteius, and dairy, and special prizes in this department nro numerous arid valuable. Sheepbrecdors have . .been well catered for, while tho farmers' classes' in this department should draw large entries. Dogs have six classes allotted;to them'. ■; Entries close on AVcdnesday next, January 28. Mr: F. C. Stubbs is tho secretary.
