SUICIDE OR MURDER?

The body of a man named Reeks, a native of Sydney, and fourth engineer on the Secolia, has been found in a disused pit near Wolverhampton, with a bullet wound in the forehead, and also bullet wounds in each eye. It is not known whether it is a case of murder or suicide.' Reeks recently arrived from Canada, and was a stranger to Wolverhampton. He had on Saturday a wallet containing a hundred dollar bill and other bills. All these aro now missing. Reeks wa3 seen with another man in Liverpool on Monday night. Inquiries show that two respectably dressed men boarded a train at Liverpool, arriving at Wolverhampton early on Tuesday. Reeks visited relatives at Swinton and returned to Liverpool, where he remained a week. He loft on Monday to revisit his relations, but did not reach Swinton. It is supposed the body was conveyed to Kttingshnll in a motor-car. There were no bullet holes in the overcoat which covered the head when the body ■was found. The revolver has not been traced. (Rcc. Nino sovereigns in gold and a watch were found on tho body, while a scarf-pin V - as found c few yards away, suggesting that there had been a struggle."
